The Stoney Creek Highlands apartments project included 17 separate buildings, each with 18 living units on three levels. Each building has exterior stair towers, balconies, and detached garage units. Due to the sloping site and varying subsurface conditions, some buildings were constructed with basement retaining walls and spread footings while other buildings were built upon drilled piers.
